Located in Paris, I'm In Architecture is an architectural production studio that was created in 2008 by architect Vincent Raes. In 2011, architect Paul Kaucher decided to join him. The architecture studio develops projects on both large and small scales, in a search for both beauty and functionality.
Their vision is literally stated in the name of the studio: “I’m in architecture”.
Architecture is like a work of art, it exists only through the eyes of the person who looks at it. There is therefore a close link between the viewer and the architectural envelope. This link leads the studio to focus its attention on every detail: on the content and the container, the main view and the backdrop, between the real and the virtual. Architecture undeniably belongs to reality and brings a poetic and conscious dimension to it.
Architectural design is a discipline that requires a will to be and to create. It is distinguished from the act of building by linking reality with the economic and social dimension, but also with research and elegance.
Each project carried out by the studio is the result of contextual analysis. Its approach consists of putting into perspective each of the parameters specific to the project in order to reveal all the details of the context. From the visible to the hidden detail, a project is a game of diversion and assembly.
I'm In Architecture develops an increasingly strong environmental approach in its designs, where the physical context of a place has always remained the foundation of its reflection. The more projects advance, the more the studio values techniques and properties that are inert to natural materials and processes.
Experienced architects, Vincent Raes and Paul Kaucher are involved in a wide variety of projects, from public facilities to single-family homes, including the restoration of existing buildings. The new build of detached houses, as well as renovation projects, are areas particularly appreciated by this architecture studio, both in the building approach and in the singularity of the relationships created.
Since 2008, I'm In Architecture has been working in collaboration with EDF Energies Nouvelles and with Ostwind International France since 2012. So far, the agency has filed around forty permits in order to initiate the construction of wind and photovoltaic parks throughout the national territory.
