The architecture firm KIMU was founded by Lionel Gaertner (DPLG), who received his architecture degree in Strasbourg in 1998, and Thibault Le Boëdec (DPLG), who graduated in 2007 from the “Atelier Laurent” school in Paris Val de Seine.
The client-oriented firm offers services with a personal touch, whether you’re an individual or business owner, for projects of any type.
Each project is entirely tailor-made, from studies to design, feasibility to building permits, drawing up plans up to the work’s reception.
The practice does not specialise in any one sector, but works in various fields including single-family homes, multi-unit residential buildings, commercial and hospitality buildings and public amenities. KIMU imagines, draws, designs and creates, always maintaining an attentive view of the big picture to create a cohesive, unique project, down to its interior design.
This comprehensive approach allows the experienced architects to implement optimal solutions with consideration for the needs, challenges and intended use of each project.
Starting from the principle that people are at the foundation of each architecture project, the architects are committed to incorporating life into everything they design. Each of their projects seeks to address the same goal: finding ways to make living together better.
Based in Anglet, between Bayonne and Biarritz, the firm primarily works throughout the Basque region and south-western France. However, in certain cases the architects also take on projects much farther afield to the east and north!
