33bis Architects was created in 2018. After multiple experiences in programming or designing large-scale public contracts, the two partners are moving towards a more local production and a more intimate dissemination of their thinking on the architectural project.
Architectural approach :
The agency is based on a clear desire to respond to urban issues associated with the city and its users, through a relevant analysis of contemporary issues and contexts. Working at various scales, these architects are keen to bring their skills and commitment to each study, with the aim of developing the ideal project, both from the point of view of the direct users and through its impact on its environment. The concern for the technical details of execution, as well as the desire for legibility of each proposal, form the guidelines that the agency strives to follow in the development of the buildings.
Environmental approach :
The university training context of these architects (Nantes - Belgium - Germany) as well as their working environment during their first years of practice, are impregnated with global reflections on the impact of constructions. 33bis Architects has forged an operational mode based on sustainable and ecological architecture which includes HQE and BBC approaches, based on the evolution of the Thermal Regulations, in collaboration with several teams working for the development of the design processes. Today, the work on wood construction, bio-sourced materials and the meticulous analysis of the environment and the architecture, allows the agency to design optimised buildings, both in terms of energy consumption and waste production.
Missions of the architects :
33bis Architects accompanies the majority of the projects studied from the design stage to the delivery of the building site, but each request is analysed in such a way as to offer an adapted mission for all the parties involved. However, it is this technical expertise of the building site that enables the architects to ensure the faithful realisation of the projects, as well as economic coherence.
