Luc Etivant has a long experience in the field of rehabilitation and new construction, both in the private and public sectors since the 1980s. This architect works on various programmes of different sizes, both in the field of architecture and landscape.
His projects are always based on a High Environmental Quality (HEQ) approach integrating architecture and environment. His projects are systematically located, and integrate the physical elements and the character of the place in which they are located; they take into account the sunshine and the neighbourhood. In addition, Luc Etivant has a qualification in landscape design (CNERP). This architect also works in collaboration with a Japanese colleague within the framework of the Atelier Kaba located in Antony 92 which received a prize for the realization of the EVERGREEN campus, the new head office of the Crédit Agricole and with whom he had carried out the development of the National Arboretum of the Barres.
In this context, he acquired experience in the field of wooden construction. Wood offers great qualities in terms of both heat and appearance. This material is particularly suitable for extensions or to achieve a high level of thermal performance. However, it requires good protection against moisture. In general, natural or bio-based materials are favoured in Luc Etivant's projects. With the Atelier Kaba, this architect has carried out several housing operations in wood construction throughout France.
His architectural reference is the American architect Frank Lloyd Wright for his closeness to nature, but he has also closely followed the teachings of Jean Prouvé, the precursor of industrial metal architecture. Luc Etivant favours an architecture that is anchored in reality, and welcomes new uses for spaces.
In concrete terms, for each operation, the control of prices and deadlines is ensured by careful monitoring of the execution. The costs of the work are fixed and regularly monitored with one site meeting per week, which also serves to determine the progress of the work until the acceptance of the work, which triggers the insurance process.
