Frédéric Mercier is a state-certified architect (DPLG) practicing since 2003. In 2012, he created the architectural firm Framm Architecture, which since 2017 has been based in the commune of Vildé-Guingalan, near Dinan.
The firm works following clear guidelines and is in tune with the challenges of our time. They champion design that is at once frugal and elegant, rustic and comfortable, ecological and economical.
Framm’s work methodology combines high standards, pragmatism, flexibility and transparence, with the idea that we are building today the heritage of tomorrow.
The materials used are chosen according to criteria of performance, health, life cycle, local economic repercussions and aesthetics. These materials frequently include wood, straw, raw earth, cellulose wadding, and other plant-derived insulation materials.
Framm works on both private commissions and public programs, from individual housing to service industry premises, agricultural buildings, and housing developments, both new construction and renovations.
The firm can be engaged in the early stages of projects, for plans, diagnostics, feasibility studies, sketches, etc. We design projects and assemble urban planning files, including building and zoning permits. We also conduct consultations and monitor the progress of the work up until delivery.
According to the specific features of each project, Frédéric Mercier offers you the support of trusted specialists, such as heating, structural and fluid engineers, landscapers, and acousticians, in order to put together the most pertinent and responsive team for you.
