ARTA STUDIO is available for new projects

Arta Studio was founded in 2023 in Ciboure, in the Basque Country, by two partners: Marion Arotçarena, HMONP architect, and Xanti Amado, DE architect.

After building their experience within various firms, they decided to create their own studio to practice an architecture that reflects who they are: sustainable, thoughtful, integrated, and ecological.

Marion Arotçarena graduated from the National School of Architecture of Bordeaux in 2016, following an initial program at the National School of Architecture of Lyon. She obtained her HMONP qualification in 2017. She then worked in several agencies in Bordeaux and the Basque Country, where the concept of living spaces was central, and where high standards and rigor were essential. Her last experience before founding the studio was as head of the design department in a high-end agency specializing in private clients. This experience allowed her to develop a strong sense of detail and spatial organization.

Xanti Amado graduated from the National School of Architecture of Nantes in 2023 as a professional (FPC), following experience in the construction sector as a project manager and project coordinator. He has worked on large-scale projects, notably green spaces and parks, as well as collective housing developments. These experiences enabled him to build a strong technical foundation and develop a demanding and creative perspective on each project.

Together, they bring complementary skills and support clients in residential projects (individual and collective), tertiary buildings, and landscape design. They work on both new construction and renovation projects. Their architectural approach consists of a contemporary reinterpretation of context, local history, and heritage. Their architecture is therefore multifaceted, respecting its environment and local identity while placing people at the center of the project—their practices, needs, and aspirations.

In Basque, Arta means “crafted with care.” Care and dedication are precisely the values they bring to each project. Arta is thus a guiding principle for them, driving their commitment to precision in line, plan, and volume.
