BORRELLI FLAVIO is available for new projects

Flavio BORRELLI is an architect and visual artist. Born in Naples in 1984, he now lives and works in Marseille, where he develops a distinctive practice that bridges architecture, art, and craftsmanship. His career has taken him through Italy, Spain, the United States, South America, and now France, shaping a deeply international and human-centered vision of his work.

A graduate with a master’s degree in architecture from the University of Naples Federico II, he continued his studies in Seville before moving to the United States in 2010 to work alongside Paolo Soleri, founder of the Arcosanti urban laboratory in Arizona. In the desert, he discovered the strength of the ties between material, landscape, and experimentation. The following year, he trained at the Earthship Academy in New Mexico, learning autonomous building techniques using recycled materials. His journey continued in Chile, where he worked as a mason, deepening his interest in hands-on experimentation and the transmission of craft skills.

Back in Italy, Flavio BORRELLI founded his first art and architecture studio in Naples in 2013. In 2015, he returned to Arizona to head Arcosanti’s architecture department, leading research, design, and teaching projects for two years. Since 2018, based in France, he has practiced in Marseille as an architect registered with the Ordre des Architectes PACA, supporting private clients, companies, and institutions with design, construction, and spatial planning projects.

Alongside architecture, Flavio BORRELLI pursues an artistic practice recognized on the international scene. He has exhibited in numerous galleries—from Venice to Arles, Florence to Bregenz—and in 2023 won the first prize for sculpture and design at the Salerno Art Biennale. His works explore material, memory, and space, extending his architectural practice through a poetic and sensory approach.

Whether ceramic façades, house renovations, or urban projects, his work is guided by a single conviction: transforming space into value. For him, each project is a human adventure where listening, creativity, and technical rigor come together to create unique, lasting places.
