Sergent Architecture develops a comprehensive approach to design and project management, serving a wide range of demanding projects. Its activity spans numerous sectors: collective and individual residential housing, hotels and outdoor hospitality, public facilities, leisure and healthcare buildings, warehouses, retail spaces, restaurants, urban planning, as well as parks and gardens. This diversity forms one of the foundations of its adaptability and its cross-disciplinary perspective on architecture.

A graduate of the École d’Architecture de Luminy in Marseille and holder of a master’s degree in urban planning from Aix-en-Provence, Luc SERGENT relies on dual expertise in architecture and territorial planning. This education, enriched by international experience, particularly in the United States and England, has fostered an open, rigorous, and user-focused design culture. Although primarily established within a Mediterranean context, the studio integrates references and methodologies drawn from both national and international practices into each project.

Each project is conceived as a specific response to a site, a program, and given constraints. Sergent Architecture advocates for a contextualized architecture, without an imposed style, where dialogue with the client is central. Understanding expectations, respecting aspirations, and translating a shared vision into a coherent project form the foundation of its approach.

Among its notable achievements is a 27-room hotel delivered in 2018, combining architectural tradition with contemporary expression, within a site subject to strong heritage constraints. The studio also designed one of the region’s first coworking buildings with the Babel Community project in Marseille, a rehabilitation combining housing, offices, and fitness facilities. Another emblematic project by Sergent Architecture is a covered water park associated with a fitness and healthcare center dedicated to the “Gueules Cassées,” combining polycarbonate, glazed facades, and the renovation of an existing building. Finally, a 500 m² seaside villa illustrates the studio’s ability to articulate contemporary architecture with Provençal inspiration.
