DISCORS ARCHITECTURE is available for new projects

DISCORS is an architecture practice founded by Sacha DISCORS that places resources at the heart of its thinking — both material resources, through an exploration of construction methods and processes, and cultural resources, by incorporating the expertise of contractors and the ways in which inhabitants use and experience buildings.

The practice sees collaboration as a driving force behind each project, using dialogue and collective intelligence as tools for design. It combines professional practice with teaching, creating a space for experimentation between the two. Based between Saint-Malo and Paris, the practice is led by Sacha Discors, a HMONP-qualified architect and lecturer at a school of architecture. Deeply rooted in its local context, the practice develops an architecture that is resource-conscious, precise and resolutely contextual.

Each project seeks a balance between constructive rationality — ensuring the building's economic, technical and environmental viability — and spatial generosity for the benefit of its occupants. Particular attention is given to short supply chains, bio-based and geo-sourced materials, material reuse and the long-term durability of buildings.

The practice works at every scale, on both private and public commissions, including individual and collective housing as well as public and community facilities. Its areas of expertise include the major refurbishment of historic buildings, new-build construction, the restructuring of existing buildings, extensions and vertical extensions in dense urban environments.

DISCORS explores how technical and constructive solutions can contribute to creating an architecture that is rational, coherent and easy to read. From technical and regulatory feasibility studies through to construction supervision, DISCORS manages every stage of the project with rigour, ensuring that budgets, schedules and construction quality are carefully controlled.
