A_R_F_ is an architecture practice founded by Romain Fabre, an HMONP-qualified architect. We are passionate about working across different scales, from the building itself to interior architecture and bespoke furniture. Our work focuses primarily on renovation, with a strong appreciation for materials and spaces with a distinctive atmosphere. We have also developed expertise in the design and fit-out of food retail premises. The way our clients use their spaces and their budgets guide every project we undertake.

Every scale of the same project
We believe that a successful space is shaped as much by its volumes as by its details. This is why we follow each project from beginning to end: organising the spaces, selecting materials, working with light, and then designing the bespoke elements that inhabit them. This continuity gives every project its coherence and character.

Renovation as our preferred field
Renovation means working with what already exists: its constraints, its history and its hidden qualities. We enjoy revealing the potential of a place by working carefully with materials to create warm and distinctive interiors. We also work on extensions and new-build projects.

Commercial fit-outs
For a business owner, every day of closure matters. Our knowledge of food retail premises (bakeries, retail spaces, restaurants and pharmacies), together with their technical and regulatory requirements, enables us to deliver projects within tight timeframes, limiting the impact of construction work on the business.
