Before becoming an architect, Élodie Tisserand focused her work in the field of layout and furniture design, allowing her to familiarise herself with woodworking. Wishing to expand her skills and to develop a solid background in construction technology, she continued her studies with the aim of becoming the "cheffe d’orchestre du métier de la construction" through her work as an architect.
Today, Élodie Tisserand runs her own agency based in Haute-Corse. Her goal is to create meaningful and local architecture. She takes great care to listen to the story of each place, and is convinced that each space has its own uniqueness. The role of the architect is to produce works that are fair, meaningful and respectful of the place in which the project is built, while ensuring that the work created meets the requirements of the users.
Her architectural approach does not seek to be extravagant. The volume, space, material and light are enough to create a refined and meaningful space. The architecture that Élodie Tisserand wishes to design is also shaped by ecological and environmental concerns. This architect approaches issues of energy waste, sustainable development and ecology by favouring natural and local materials.
Involved in the entire architectural project, Élodie Tisserand envisages the design of the building's exterior façade right through to the interior fittings, mainly thanks to the skills she has acquired in the field of layout design. This process makes it possible to design projects where nothing is left to chance, whether it is for new construction, renovation or major renovation. The primary idea is to design a total work of art with the client.
