PLACE is available for new projects
PLACE was founded in 2024 by Camille LEMOINE-SOLIER, Elsa GASS, and Cyril CLIGMAN, all three HMONP-certified architects. Based in Paris and Marseille, PLACE approaches each project with a thoughtful and sensitive composition.
Their practice — shaped by their diverse and complementary experiences — allows them to explore multiple themes: urban, social, environmental, technical, functional, and creative. These dimensions, which they view as essential to the making of the city, form the foundation of their architectural philosophy. Like a public square, their agency stands at the crossroads of different paths, where architecture becomes a plural entity in constant dialogue with its context.
Today, they design housing, public facilities, and office projects, while expanding their field of intervention to better understand the diversity of urban forms — and to offer a humble, multifaceted interpretation of them.
This approach has taken various forms since 2016, as each of them explored different typologies and perspectives throughout their professional journeys.
Since then, they have carried out numerous projects and research initiatives, which they decided to bring together in order to promote a more engaged and collectively informed architecture. They are currently working on housing projects for private clients, hotels, and offices, and aim to continue diversifying their practice to engage with the many typologies that shape the city — in order to better understand and represent it.
Through their projects, they strive to define places capable of fostering dialogue in service of the common good — between architecture and the society it brings together.
BIOGRAPHIES
Cyril CLIGMAN
A graduate of the Paris-Val de Seine School of Architecture (HMONP, 2016), Cyril founded his own practice in 2017. This initiative quickly gave him a high level of autonomy while strengthening his expertise in construction management and technical execution. His forward-looking and creative approach reflects his passion for transforming every space into a functional, lived-in environment.
Elsa GASS
A graduate of ENSA Paris-Val de Seine and holder of her HMONP certification from La Villette in 2016, Elsa worked in Paris and Brussels before joining LAN in 2018. Over six years there, she led major urban renovation projects involving housing and office spaces. This experience now allows her to approach urban issues through both a sensitive and rational lens.
Camille LEMOINE-SOLIER
A graduate of the Paris-Val de Seine School of Architecture (HMONP, 2015), Camille spent seven years as a project manager at DVVD Architectes, working on public facilities and renovation projects. In 2021, she founded her own firm, Atelier Concipio, where she focuses both on small-scale projects — emphasizing her desire to create direct connections with users — and on large-scale construction management assignments, where her rigor and precision are widely recognized.
