ANTOINE WATREMEZ ARCHITECTE is available for new projects

Antoine Watremez is an HMONP architect based in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. He specializes in renovation, interior architecture, and design. He graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles in 2015. During his five years of study, he learned to analyze vast and complex territories, from the megalopolis of Istanbul to the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Architectural programming and large-scale projects are at the heart of his training.

His discovery of interior architecture and design only came after graduation, when he joined the Ciguë agency, whose distinctive feature was its inclusion of a carpentry and prototyping workshop. There, he discovered the importance of materials, their implementation, and their contribution to creating quality architecture. In addition to a more traditional project practice, he tinkered with assemblies, produced samples, and experimented with finishes. He also discovered that the large-scale analytical project taught at Versailles could resonate in the development of micro-spaces. How to use a wood species to describe the uniqueness of a region? How to use the choice of a screw to describe the universe of a brand? How to use a palette of materials to recount an era.

For seven years, he worked primarily on boutique and hotel projects for prestigious clients such as La Samaritaine, Aesop, Cowboy, and Tribe. He supported these clients in unique projects, designed in their own image.

Independent since 2022, Antoine Watremez's practice is nourished by these lessons: imagining living spaces that are a spontaneous extension of their context and their inhabitants, places that tell a story and adapt to the lifestyles of their occupants. He likes to use raw and functional materials such as plaster, plywood, and stainless steel to create minimalist and welcoming spaces.
