Vincent GILLOT studied architecture at the École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Paris-Belleville (ENSA Paris-Belleville), where he graduated in 2008. From the very beginning of his career, he developed a demanding approach to architectural design, driven by a strong interest in the cultural, urban, and environmental challenges of the discipline.
After several years of experience within the agency of Pierre-Louis Faloci, a major figure in French architecture and winner of the French National Grand Prize for Architecture in 2018, he began practicing independently in 2010. As a project manager, he notably contributed to the design of the Médiathèque de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Charenton-le-Pont, an emblematic facility dedicated to preserving and promoting French architectural heritage. This collaboration helped strengthen his expertise in complex projects and his attention to how buildings integrate into their surroundings.
In 2012, he co-founded the agency Gillot+Givry, which he co-directed until 2019. During this period, the agency developed a recognized body of work combining architectural innovation, quality of use, and environmental commitment. Its projects received two Trophées Bois awards in 2016 and 2017, highlighting a constructive approach focused on bio-based materials and new architectural practices. The agency was also selected as a winner of the “Réinventer Paris 2” call for projects for the Nation 1 site, a major initiative reflecting contemporary urban transformation.
Through this agency, Vincent GILLOT collaborated with numerous public and private stakeholders, including Paris Habitat, Emerige, Pitch Promotion, Nexity, Altarea Cogedim, Citynove, the City of Paris, Demathieu Bard Immobilier, Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers, RIVP, and Batipart.
In 2020, within the context of the global health crisis, he founded his own architecture firm. This new chapter marked the affirmation of an engaged architectural practice focused on the challenges of the “world after”: resource efficiency, quality of use, territorial resilience, and adaptation to contemporary lifestyles.
