CELANTE is available for new projects

Celante is an architecture practice founded in 2023 by Guillaume Celante, an architect based in Paris. The practice works on architecture and interior architecture projects at a range of scales, from new-build construction to refurbishment, with a particular interest in residential projects.

The practice is committed to a restrained approach to architecture, with a strong focus on the choice of materials, proportions and construction details, and on what they bring to a place and their ability to create enduring and sensitive atmospheres. Residential architecture holds a particular place in this approach, with close attention paid to everyday uses, the relationships between spaces and the different ways in which people inhabit them. The aim is to design spaces that are connected to their context and to the people who live in them, while leaving room for personalisation and change over time.

Every project is different, and the practice adapts its involvement accordingly: providing comprehensive support from design through to completion, or focusing on a specific stage of the project, such as initial design, planning applications and urban planning documentation, interior design or another aspect. The work develops through dialogue with the constraints specific to each project, whether they relate to the site, the programme, the existing building or the conditions of construction.

Guillaume Celante trained between Paris and Valencia, Spain. A graduate of ENSA Paris-Val de Seine and holder of the HMONP qualification from ENSA Paris-Malaquais, he spent nearly fifteen years working in various architectural practices in Paris, primarily on residential projects, and was involved throughout all stages of the design and delivery process.

This experience has enabled him to approach projects as a continuous process, from design through to completion, and to understand their various implications throughout the design stages and construction process. It now informs the projects developed within the practice, particularly in the residential sector, whether involving the construction, transformation or refurbishment of a place, with a strong focus on the quality of inhabited spaces and their ability to stand the test of time.
