FVA is available for new projects
FVA — Florent Vaissié Architecture is an architecture and design studio founded in Paris in 2021.
The practice develops a thoughtful and context-driven approach, shaped by the specific conditions of each project. Every intervention is grounded in a careful reading of its context—whether transforming an existing site or working on a new one—in order to deliver precise, rooted, and lasting responses.
FVA approaches both transformation projects and new constructions with the same level of rigor. In both cases, the aim is to create a balanced architecture where uses, constraints, and the qualities of the site become the driving forces of the project.
A practice of transformation.
Working with existing structures is a central field of exploration for the studio. Intervening in a building means engaging with a material that already exists, carrying history, structure, and constraints.
FVA develops an approach that seeks to reveal these latent qualities, clarify uses, and restore coherence to spaces. Opening perspectives, bringing in light, reconfiguring volumes—the project is shaped through an economy of means, where each gesture is deliberate and necessary.
Building new.
At the same time, the studio designs new projects—housing, mixed-use developments, and facilities—with the same attention to precision and contextual integration. Architecture is conceived as a presence capable of establishing clear relationships with its surroundings, whether urban or landscape-based. Proportions, façades, outdoor spaces, and the role of vegetation all contribute to a controlled architectural language, attentive to uses and ways of living. For FVA, building new is not about producing autonomous forms, but about extending a context, structuring situations, and creating durable spaces capable of evolving over time.
Continuity from volume to detail.
At every scale, FVA develops a continuous approach to design. Materials, light, atmospheres, and construction systems are conceived together. Details naturally extend the architecture. Interior design and custom furniture contribute to the overall coherence, in a constant search for precision and simplicity.
A situated architecture.
Each project is approached as a field of research, shaped by contemporary challenges. Environmental, economic, and social issues are integrated from the earliest design phases.
The studio develops sober responses, attentive to resources, construction methods, and real production conditions. Architecture is conceived as a situation rather than an object: a way of organizing relationships, supporting uses, and embedding itself within time.
Florent VAISSIÉ is an architect, graduated from ENSAV in 2013, qualified with HMONP since 2014, and registered with the Île-de-France Order of Architects.
Before founding FVA in 2021, he collaborated with the firms Lemoal, Hubert & Roy, Ameller & Dubois, and Champenois Architectes, where he developed over seven years of experience on housing, renovation, and new-build projects at various scales.
His approach is based on a careful reading of contexts and a deep understanding of uses. He develops a transformation-driven architecture that considers the existing as a resource, while simultaneously designing new projects rooted in continuity, integration, and precision.
Through FVA, he advocates for a sober and sensitive architectural language, driven by attention to light, materials, and space, and by the ambition to create sustainable architecture capable of adapting to evolving ways of living.
