ATELIER TZA is available for new projects

Atelier TZA is an architectural firm registered with the Order of Architects of Île-de-France and based in Paris’ 10th arrondissement, operating throughout France, independently or in collaboration with partners. The firm was founded in 2023 by architect Garance WenQian Zhu and architect Cédric Thomas, following 11 years of independent professional experience registered with the Order of Architects.

The various types of projects handled by Atelier TZA range from individual housing to collective housing, new constructions with transformations or extensions, from Public Access Buildings (ERP) to commercial spaces.

One of Atelier TZA’s distinguishing features is its certification as an Energy Auditor and its Pro-Paille training, giving the firm a profile strongly focused on the ecological challenges of the 21st century.

Several guiding principles and intentions are developed within Atelier TZA in order to create architecture capable of responding to various constraints without neglecting the essential objective: creating emotions through light and materiality.

The first principle is spatial poetry, or how to orchestrate materials in a meaningful way, where detail gives character to a space, even when it is minimalist and modern. Particular attention is therefore paid to Wabi-sabi, which reflects the trace of time on materials.

The second principle is collaboration and dialogue, allowing the firm to find the best possible programmatic, technical, and spatial response.

Finally, the third principle concerns environmental considerations, which are central to the project’s design philosophy. Constructive common sense, structural durability, transitional “gray spaces” such as Engawa spaces, material reuse, well-insulated and properly ventilated volumes that are pleasant and protective to live in, as well as frugal and cost-efficient architecture in everyday use, all play an essential role in the agency’s approach.

If regulations and the Local Urban Plan (PLU) allow it, Atelier TZA will do everything possible to find solutions aligned with your budget, with the goal of delivering an architectural project in harmony with contemporary challenges and your expectations. The missions carried out by Atelier TZA range from initial sketches to final project delivery, including building permit applications. Partial missions, ending at the Building Permit or the Contractor Consultation File (DCE), can also be considered.
