Although he readily cites Le Corbusier in architecture or Philippe Starck in terms of design, Olivier Silvestri does not claim to belong to any style or movement. What makes him tick is the meaning he puts into his housing, housing and office projects; fields that he has been fond of since the start of his career. Graduated from the Nancy School of Architecture in 2006, with a year spent at the Faculty of Architecture in Rome in 2003, he quickly specialized in design and contemporary project management where architecture and planning interior comes with a necessary understanding of the building as a whole, from its identity to its functionality.
Olivier Silvestri launched his agency in 2007. Beyond architecture and interior design, he mobilizes his knowledge to provide added value, supporting his clients in the complete development of their project (design, plans, declaration of town planning, assistance with the selection of companies, monitoring of works, etc.). “What interests me,” he says, “is to be able to see the birth of projects that are very different from each other, both large villas and modest homes on difficult grounds with an absolutely necessary optimization of spaces.” .
His experience in the trade helps him today to work with the best companies in the sector, to know the reality of construction costs and to have the technical experience necessary to supervise all stages of a project, from sketch to acceptance. Works.
What Olivier Silvestri likes about design and project management is the unique character of each project. “A house or housing project allows you to create unique places that will tell a story specific to each place: this is why I do everything so that the occupants experience the joy of living there.” This is how he intends to establish himself in each project, without ever imposing his style: “the project is not about me, but about the place and these inhabitants or users, so I try to emancipate myself from the effects of fashion". He then absorbs the needs of these clients, the neighboring architecture, playing with codes, design periods and references to create an aesthetic specific to each of these projects, a unique, sustainable, eco-logical architecture, original, provocative, evocative and mysterious.
Olivier Silvestri still delivers a few favorites: the functionality of the layout, control of construction costs, dialogue with the landscape, the plasticity of volumes, the texture of materials and natural light.
Olivier Silvestri Architecture Studio is currently working on very varied projects, reflecting the diversity desired by its founder: an extension including an indoor swimming pool and a private lounge; the thermal renovation of a town house, an artisanal production building with a Click & Collect delivery room; a rural town hall; a villa with an outdoor pool; as well as high-end office spaces.
