IKEM ARCHITECTURE is available for new projects

We are two architects, graduates of the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Versailles, now based in Lons-le-Saunier, where we founded IKEM architecture. Young, committed, and complementary, we share a common vision of architecture: architecture that is responsive, contextual, functional, and meaningful.

Our firm was born from the desire to offer a flexible, humane, and attentive practice for each project. We believe that architecture is not limited to the construction of a building; it also contributes to creating sustainable, sensitive, and purpose-adapted living environments. This is why we support our clients with rigor and compassion, from the first meeting to completion of the project, regardless of the scale or complexity of the project.

Our practice is resolutely diverse. We work on both new construction and the transformation of existing buildings, whether for single-family homes, multi-family housing, public buildings, businesses, public buildings, public buildings, and interior design projects. We particularly enjoy renovation projects, in which we can unlock the potential of a space while giving it new life. This approach requires working with technical, regulatory, and heritage constraints while offering contemporary and inventive solutions.

We are committed to developing tailor-made projects, informed by active listening and a detailed analysis of needs, the site, and the context. For us, each project is a collaboration: it is part of an ongoing discussion with the client, the craftspeople, the design offices, and the relevant departments. We believe that a successful project is, first and foremost, a shared endeavor.

Working in a region like ours, with its rural heritage, brownfield sites, urban fabrics in need of revitalization, and natural landscapes to be respected, is a constant source of inspiration. Our location in Lons-le-Saunier allows us to work locally throughout the Jura region, but also more broadly in Burgundy-Franche-Comté, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, and elsewhere, depending on the projects and our encounters.

We pay particular attention to the quality of interior spaces, natural light, the choice of materials, construction details, and, more broadly, the overall coherence of the project. We also integrate, wherever possible, considerations around energy performance, reuse, and sustainability into our designs.
