FRANCOIS-XAVIER POUDROUX ARCHITECTE is available for new projects

Founded by François-Xavier Poudroux, an HMONP architect, the eponymous studio located in Cannes develops a grounded, demanding, and contextual architectural practice. He works on new construction, extension, rehabilitation, and elevation projects, each time questioning the qualities of a place, its physical limitations as well as its tangible dimensions.

Throughout each intervention, the studio asserts a comprehensive vision of the site. Architecture is approached as a situated act, attentive to the dynamics of the territory, the uses present, existing forms, and unexpressed potential. The aim is to reveal the uniqueness of a context, to work with it rather than impose itself on it.

Working in Mediterranean territories means working with environments marked by historical density, the diversity of built fabric, and the power of the landscapes. This complexity invites the studio to adopt a keen, almost topographical observational approach to capture the existing balances: between solid and void, mineral and plant, permanence and transformation. In these contexts with strong identity value, each project becomes an opportunity to initiate a meaningful dialogue between memory and contemporaneity—a contemporary, measured approach, rooted in a living heritage.

Each project is also a way of proposing a way of living, rooted in its site. The studio designs embodied interiors, filled with light, material, and silence, always in close connection with their environment. These unique and open living spaces draw their character from the connection they maintain with the outdoors—whether it be a landscape, a garden, a street, or a horizon.
