ATELIER POST is available for new projects

Founded in 2021, Atelier POST is led by its three partners—Corentin Cazin, Félix Caucheteux, and Matthieu Maes—all licensed architects (HMONP) and graduates of the Lille School of Architecture.

Committed to a frugal, joyful, and creative architecture, Atelier POST is trained in construction techniques using bio- and geo-sourced materials (wood, raw earth, straw, hemp, etc.) that highlight local resources. These methods are complemented by a bioclimatic approach, ensuring comfortable housing in both winter and summer, energy efficiency, and healthy indoor air quality.

To make this ecological and energy transition both feasible and desirable in building design, Atelier POST relies on three key principles:

Economic balance: Natural, healthy materials may cost more than conventional, industrial, and polluting ones. However, rational methods and choices exist to balance budgets effectively.

Aesthetics: Designing beautiful projects that people truly want to live in—mastering space, light, materials, proportions, views, and the relationship with the landscape.

Co-creation: Working hand in hand with future users, the primary stakeholders. We value collaborative workshops to gather needs and adjust the design together, ensuring it truly reflects the people for whom it is conceived.

Atelier POST works on both new builds and renovations, always paying close attention to what already exists: the surrounding landscape, neighbors, broader context, the nature of the soil and sky.

In renovation projects, the studio focuses carefully on the qualities of the existing structures—their physical and aesthetic properties, and their reuse potential. Trained to work with historic buildings, Atelier POST relies on technical and scientific expertise to understand how structures behave, particularly hygrothermal phenomena, in order to make the right decisions for long-term durability.

To firmly embody its commitment to an ecological transition in building practices, Atelier POST favors comprehensive missions, from initial sketches to project delivery. This includes construction supervision, which is essential for ensuring the correct implementation of alternative building methods compared to conventional practices. Note that a “full mission” does not lock you in until the end—you may choose to stop earlier if needed.

The agency recommends starting with a feasibility study and sketch design, a light mission that allows you to:
