L’Atelier Rems is all driven by the desire to build intelligently, guided by strong personal convictions, and to share a constructive perspective with all stakeholders in the construction industry. L’Atelier Rems is the initiative of Rémi SUPPER, an HMO-NP certified architect. After initially training in joinery and timber construction, he went on to study at the National School of Architecture in Nancy.

The use of natural materials and high-quality architectural design are the two key principles guiding the studio’s approach. Likewise, working with local companies and highlighting craftsmanship and building expertise are fundamental to L’Atelier Rems’ construction philosophy.

L’Atelier Rems offers a range of services typical of the architectural profession to bring your projects to life. We can work together on projects involving building permits or the full development of your project, from design through to site completion. More specific collaborations can also be arranged, such as assistance in developing a unique or non-standard project, including the technical development of a commercial product related to housing, tourism, or sports.

Why Atelier Rems?

“The workshop is a place dedicated to experimentation, empirical methods, and prototyping. My background in joinery initially trained me to discover the potential of wood as a material—and not only wood. An architect is an artisan, because they work with materials and rely heavily on the hand as a tool.”

Local materials are favored. Wood, being present throughout the territory and used by many artisans, is an obvious choice. However, many other bio-based materials can also be used locally, such as earth, stone, or straw. Concrete is not excluded; its structural qualities and adaptability make it a valuable ally in many cases. Likewise, steel or aluminum may be used when necessary.
