BRU RACHEL is available for new projects

A graduate of the National School of Architecture of Paris-Malaquais (final year subject "A habitat for life/Life?" final year dissertation "The creative constraint"), Rachel BRU trained with Emmanuelle PATTE, a pioneer in ecological architecture and co-architect of the Méandre agency. It was this agency that built the first 3,000 m² positive energy school complex, the construction of which was supervised by Rachel BRU. Following this experience, she managed the construction division for 4 years, being responsible for supporting the other project managers in their monitoring in addition to her own operations. Her technical expertise was also used during the study phases to streamline construction processes and find savings in the construction of operations.

The complementarity between these two architects being undeniable, Emmanuelle PATTE and Rachel BRU joined forces with a third person in 2013 to create méandre ETC. Under this new banner, Rachel BRU will lead projects of varying scale but always with respect for the environment in all its forms as a guiding principle. This led to the renovation, extension and elevation of a BEPAS student residence, the construction of a HQE-certified housing complex and medical care home, the construction of a 55-place HQE-certified nursery, the construction of a clay-straw kindergarten, as well as individual house projects, declarations of work for light building renovations, etc. During her projects, she noticed that company site managers had gaps in environmental skills, which is why she joined the teaching teams of several training centers to bring knowledge and feedback from the field to learners. Through teaching, she trained in business economics and became an expert in project costing at all phases.

In 2022, she chose to leave the Paris region to settle in the Hautes-Pyrénées, on the border of Gers and Haute-Garonne. She set up a second agency, JASPE architecture, with the aim of supporting families, groups of residents or companies in their project whatever the stage and the number of missions entrusted (from a simple study of the universe of possibilities to site monitoring, there are 9 stages where the help and expertise of an architect can prove judicious). Rachel BRU always designs in compliance with environmental precepts out of conviction and not to meet standards. An unpretentious architect, she supports her clients according to their needs so that living in the building is a pleasure.
