Mélanie IBANEZ FRAILE is a qualified architect and licensed project manager. She develops an independent practice focused on projects with a strong ecological dimension: renovation of residential buildings and public-access buildings (ERP), new construction, and support for professional projects. She favors a bioclimatic and sober approach, based on user comfort, energy efficiency, and the reuse of materials. People and dialogue are central to her approach: each project begins with attentive listening to needs and uses in order to propose accurate and well-adapted solutions.

Mélanie’s career has been built around rehabilitation and inhabited heritage, with a particular focus on the transformation of existing buildings. Trained at the École nationale supérieure d’architecture of Clermont-Ferrand and specialized in the memory and techniques of urban and rural heritage, she has developed a strong sensitivity to the uniqueness of places, their history, and their potential for evolution. Her experience in architectural agencies has allowed her to work on a wide range of projects, from initial diagnostics to construction supervision, often in complex or occupied environments.

She advocates for a sober and contextual architecture, based on existing resources and sound construction principles: enhancement of what already exists, control of solar gains, protection against summer overheating, reduction of energy consumption, and the use of durable or reused materials whenever possible. The goal is to design comfortable, long-lasting spaces adapted to contemporary lifestyles.
