CHOFFEL NADEGE is available for new projects

Passionate about drawing and geometric shapes from a very young age, Nadège CHOFFEL quickly developed a particular sensitivity toward architecture and construction. As a child, she spent long hours imagining and building wooden or Lego houses, already laying the foundations of what would later become a true vocation.

At the age of 18, she discovered the concrete reality of working with materials while taking part in the renovation and decoration of her grandparents’ house. This first experience confirmed her interest in transforming places and designing living spaces.

Despite some initial family hesitation, Nadège CHOFFEL joined the Nancy School of Architecture, where she quickly stood out for the quality of her projects. Several awards recognizing her house designs further reinforced her passion, which had now become a clear vocation. After graduating in 1996, she joined an architectural firm to develop her professional experience and strengthen her practical expertise.

During this period, she took part in numerous architectural competitions. She notably distinguished herself during the development project for the Port of Épinal, which included pontoons and walkways. The “S” shape of the sheltered sections of the walkways even inspired the logo of Voies Navigables de France, a small personal pride in her career.

In 2000, she participated in the creation of the A2G agency, a structure composed of four collaborators. The team went on to take part in several public competitions involving projects such as schools, media libraries, housing developments, and office buildings.

In 2003, she won the competition for the rehabilitation of the covered market of Épinal, a historic Baltard-style pavilion. The mayor at the time, Michel Heinrich, even stated that “it was the only project that received unanimous approval, without any criticism.” This significant achievement would become her last public project.

In 2006, Nadège CHOFFEL chose to pursue her career independently in order to dedicate more time to private projects and return to her original passions: designing houses, interior decoration, and garden design. She founded the Atelier d’Architecture Nadège Choffel and began supporting a demanding clientele in the construction and renovation of residences and landscaped spaces.

Her strong listening skills, rigor, and professionalism allow her to build lasting relationships of trust with her clients. She is particularly touched when clients tell her how their new home has transformed their daily lives and improved their quality of life.

Always motivated by new challenges, she embarked on another step in her journey in 2015 by returning to studies in Paris. She applied to the Court of Appeal of Nancy in order to practice as a judicial expert. From 2016 onward, she used her technical expertise to assist the justice system by producing expert reports used by judges to resolve disputes related to construction and building issues. This experience significantly broadened her perspective and expanded her field of expertise.

The Covid period in 2020 marked another turning point in her journey. This moment of reflection reminded her of the very essence of her vocation: creating, transforming, and bringing places back to life.

She decided to pause her judicial activity to reconnect with her artistic foundations: geometric drawing and other forms of expression such as sculpture and palette-knife painting. This period nourished new projects and a deeper reflection on her profession.

Today, Nadège CHOFFEL develops a sensitive architectural approach that connects interior and exterior spaces while integrating notions that are particularly meaningful to her: materiality, sacred geometry, harmony, and well-being.

Her approach is based on a strong human relationship with her clients. She takes the time to meet them, listen to their needs, and understand their lifestyles in order to design spaces that truly reflect who they are. This relationship of trust lies at the heart of her design process.

Each project follows a contemporary, ecological, and responsible approach, designed to adapt both to the needs of its occupants and to the characteristics of the site. Her work relies on a deep understanding of spaces, their history, and their potential.
