Created by Camille Reiss and Simon Le Rouic, SuperTropic Architecture seeks to promote architectural solutions that are adapted to the social, geographical and environmental challenges of today's society.
Camille Reiss is an experienced architect that has a Doctorate in Architecture and Urban Planning and is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Malaquais. She has built up her experience in various renowned agencies between Paris, New York and Rio de Janeiro. Now back in France, Camille specialises in environmentally friendly and responsible wooden architecture, which she integrates into new construction projects for single-family homes, as well as the elevation and extension of apartment buildings in the Paris region and the Loire-Atlantique region.
The SuperTropic Architecture agency focuses on the relationship between architecture and boundaries, nature, light and land. Composed of a multidisciplinary team, the agency is able to produce high-quality architecture, resulting from a detailed analysis of the client's intentions, and from collaboration with the various players in the project (design offices, engineers, economists, landscapers, etc.).
Each project is unique, interacting in a singular way with all the elements that make it up, such as the context, the programme, the materials, the budget, the client and the will to experiment. In addition, SuperTropic Architecture pays particular attention to the life cycle of buildings and their impact on the environment. The agency promotes sustainable architecture, focusing on the development of eco-friendly design in terms of use, functionality and performance.
